In the letter replied to the senior professors at the University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB), President XI Jinping put forward ardent expectations for cultivating high-quality talents who contribute to the country, promoting innovation in the iron and steel industry, and green and low-carbon development. Inspired by the spirit of President XI's important reply, the 6th International Metallurgy Innovation Symposium, organized by the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Metallurgy, is scheduled to be held on April 11th-13th, 2025 in Beijing, China.

On behalf of the symposium organizing committee, we would like to cordially invite you to join this event. The theme of the symposium is Green and Low-carbon Metallurgy. This symposium aims to provide a platform to discuss and exchange the recent advances on the low-carbon and green innovation of metallurgy, intelligent manufacturing, energy saving and emission reduction. It will also aim to promote the academic communication and cooperation in the topics on the integration of metallurgical industry, resource, energy, environment and information.

The symposium aims to bring together scientists from the industry and academia, as well as leaders in metallurgical engineering, materials science, engineering, chemistry. This provides a unique opportunity to meet and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges, and adopted solutions. The conference serves as a platform to bring together nationally and internationally recognized experts in the field, with plans for around 400 participants from both the industry and academia.
